Yea,I've had a Mini Keg. Forbes (IIRC) had an article on the genesis of that keg. The best price I've seen in the grocery (warm) store was 19.99. The Liquor store sells it cold for 23.

Now I drink Heineken bottles, and draft at bars occasionally. I must say the taste of the mini keg is quite good and the head from top to bottom is consistent.

But for the price; it is a 5L/3.3gal container, which works out to about 14.2, 12oz bottles, is a little steep considering I just picked up a cold 12 for 12.97.

I gather the price will come down in time as more outlets start carrying it. Its new and novel right now, so it gets a premium price. But its a neat idea, and a neat design.

It tastes night and day better than Heineken in bottles IMHO. The only draw back is the size. They should redesign it to fit in a refrigerator more easily, and I have a Sub Zero.
