The Montanists did similar stuff back in the 200s. And how many Montanists live in your parish nowadays? You are so right: the heresies and adherents eventually die off and are forgotten by all except Justice. At one time centuries ago, Arianists almost succeeded in hijacking the Church. Nearly all bishops professed that heresy as the truth, yet it failed.
Note that these two heretical women are in their sixth decade of life. They will also soon be gone and forgotten.
