"The visa helps illegal immigrants who are victims of sex crimes."

How handy, turn your kid over to a pedophile, get on the fast track to citizenship.

It also would extend temporary residency to his PARENTS and his unmarried SIBLINGS under 18, if they applied for it. So I predict a huge outbreak of this particular crime. You get more of what you reward. Our government and its immigration policies are totally disfunctional.

And gets to bring his parents and any siblings under 18! Why can't the authorities take his deposition in Mexico just like they can and do in other criminal procedings?

Since the crime took place in the US you can assume his family is already here, he just fled to Mexico with the teacher. Now because of him they get to stay and continue to get all of the government benefits that got the boy in the situation to meet the teacher in the first place. What a country!

“U” visas - as in U-turn?

Since it includes the parents and siblings what about granny and the 47 cousins and inlaws who will suddenly claim they were living in the home and might know something about the case? Never mind that if the parents hadn’t broken the law and brought him over here it wouldn’t have happened.

The last paragraph says that the law is primarily for Hookers.

Surprising when you consider the law was signed by Bill 'the sexual predator' Clinton.

Rules like this are just a way to circumvent the wishes of the citizens to stop illegal immigration.
This is a way to bring illegals in under the guise of aiding justice and/or as a humanitarian gesture.

Then, once the kid and his immediate family are here the parents can start clamoring for visas for their brothers and sisters and their spouses and children as our current immigration laws give preference to family.
They in turn will somehow get all their relatives on the USA gravy train and so on.

By allowing this one kid in we will end up with another extended family of several hundred or more.

The idiots in our Congress and Federal bureaucracies are the gift that keeps on giving and giving - but only to illegals and other non-Americans.

Question, what about the citizens (old/young) that get raped by illegals here? My bad, they let them out to stay here for repeat performances.

I say give him a visa as long as they round up the rest of his family here, the vast majority of which are illegal, and send them packing with no ability to ever return legally or become citizens.

I’d let one stay to get rid of 20.

If I am not mistaken, at the time that this sex crime started to happen, that boy was in the state’s custody. IIRC, he was living in some “youth facility” and his parents were totally out of the picture. And now, because of this incident, they all get to march back into this country?

This reminds me of the drug dealer that Ramon and Campeon shot. All kinds of perks for the lawbreaker.

Our government is going to reward a kid for breaking the law? This is beyond stupid!

True, but the liberal interpretation of it is brought to you by Jorge and Jerkoff. The law was never really acted upon till last year.
