Emirates Airlines head Sheik Ahmed Bin Said al-Machtum recently announced that with this mega-purchase of wide-body planes Emirates wants to become the leading airline of the 21st century. Dubai wants to attract 15 million visitors in 2012.

It is impossible to explain Dubai to someone who has never been there. The place is incredible. I've been there 6 times (courtesy of the US Navy) and each time I visit, the place is unrecognizable from the last time I was there due to the constant state of construction and development. It really is a dizzying experience. I love Dubai.
