... and with simple strokes of the keyboard, Ol’ Sparky becomes the arbiter of who and what is a RINO.
BTW, just to clarify the meaning: “Republican In Name Only” is an ostensible registered Republican who, when it comes down to it, refuses to vote for the REPUBLICAN nominee. Hence the qualifying term, “In Name Only”.

A Republican In Name Only is, quite obviously, someone who calls himself a Republican while espousing a wide array of positions in opposition to the Republican Party platform.

No, RINO is a leftist that runs as a Republican, and when in office, acts like a liberal Dummacrap.
Example:
Rudy.

Republican In Name Only is an ostensible registered Republican who, when it comes down to it, refuses to vote for the REPUBLICAN nominee. Hence the qualifying term, In Name Only. "RINO" was adopted by California GOP grassroots in 1994 who wore RINO buttons to denounce Los Angeles Mayor Dick Riordan's leftist policies and his staff and commission appointments. It had nothing to do with support of other candidates.

Registered Republicans who fail to vote the party line are RINOs? Well, yeah, I suppose that's true. After all, "Republican" is a label which barely suits me these days. It seems I'm not "moderate" enough.
