“Giuliani has struggled to win support of social conservatives because of his moderate views on abortion and gay rights.”

Moderate, my *ss.

If you support a candidate who is pro abortion, pro gun control, and pro gay rights, then he is not a conservative- nor are you.

Putting “Pat Robertson” in the same sentence as “influential Christian leader” makes me want to hurl.

Yes he has a huge following of sheep willing to hand over their money to him, but that does not put him on my list of Christians I want to be like. My oldest sister once contributed monthly to his 700 club TV program when she became a club member.
When her child became very ill and she had doctor bills she had a hard time paying, she had to stop her payments to the 700 Club. This was followed by months of harassment from the program for being late on payments. They would send her a monthly bill which included the pass due amount just like it was from a credit card company or something. She even received phone calls notifying her of her late payments. Through all of this though, she still was a loyal watcher of the program, with all the other sheep.

Pat Robertson doesn’t influence me, but Billy Graham does.

I’ve been watching him off and on for 32 years.

Looking back the presidential campaign of 1988 and the Christian Coalition it was just his way of following the trail blazed by Jerry Falwell-Moral Majority and “getting in on the act.”

This is big, really big.

Robertson just gave the GOP nomination to Rudy Giuliani.

Just how many votes does Robertson have?

THIS IS BIG, REALLY BIG.

At one time, I thought that Pat was for real, but I am thinking that old age is really taking hold.

“Robertson just gave the GOP nomination to Rudy Giuliani.”

And the Presidency to Hillary Clinton.

I don't trust chuckle-talkers and Pat is a chuckle-talker.

This endorsement proves my theory. ;o)

It is Mormon doctrine, take the time to research Mormonism for yourself just do a google. There is plenty of info available.

I think the people at the top think we are sheep. None of these endorsements do a thing for me.

I make my own mind up who I will vote for.

I agree with you totally.

Give me a break, you and your ilk sound like broken record hacks.

Social Conservatism is NOT the definition of being a conservative. A true conservative by definition could never support free trade by group treaties such as the WTO and the NAFTA... yet over the last 25 years, you’d think it was the definition of Conservatism by some.

The reality is simply this, if your view is so powerful within the party then someone with your beliefs will win the nomination.

If they don’t, yours isn’t, pure and simple. Its math, nothing more.

Regardless of who the R candidate is, if someone foolishly decides to go 3rd party or stay home because its not who they want it to be, then all they do is aid in getting hillary elected.. its that simple. And if your goal is to end abortion or stop gay rights movement or conserve the 2nd ammendment, the last thing you can do is Put Hillary in charge of appointing 4-6 Supreme court justices, which is exactly what will happen.

Politics is a pragmatic endeavor, ideologues who believe all or nothing basically wind up with little say in anything.

Perhaps this was another message from God for Pat. He's made a habit in recent years of claiming to have received "messages" from the Almighty, which have invariably turned out to be bogus. If this is a message from the same source, it would be quite in keeping with his previous prognostications.

His latest prediction, made last year, was of a terrorist attack on the US in the latter half of 2007, which would be cataclysmic in its proportions. Well, we've about 7 weeks left to see if Pat has it right this time.

So if Billy Graham says vote Hillry then you would follow him? Billy Graham did have the Clintons, both of them up on his stage proclaiming all kind of niceties about them at one of his 'come to Jesus' revivals.

Pat wishes he had that much influence or power. There is no fool like an old fool.

I don’t think Pat has as much influence as the NY media think he does. I mean, they think Pat controls us or something.

I am interested in who James Dobson endorses.

Seriously though, I’ll support whoever the GOP nominates. And I won’t be sore about it, because I think politics is ultimately stupid. Any Republican is better than Klinton.

My mom wrote a book (unpublished) about cults a couple of decades ago, and I remember this as their doctrine. I found some referenced information at http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/cults.htm#mormon

I’d look for direct Mormon information, but I have to get to work! Hope this helps.
