Life insurance. Responsible people have at least 10 or 15 times their yearly salary in life insurance. Most people are literally worth more dead then alive. We know that Huma has at least one sister [who has an apartment in NYC].
So if Huma, her sister, and her mother each received $1 Million [and if there are no other siblings], then that's a $3 Million life insurance policy, and, if you're correct in the factor of "10 or 15 times", then Huma Abedin's father would have had to have been earning $200,000 to $300,000 per year, circa 1992, as an academic in the social sciences and the humanities.
That's simply an unheard-of salary in the academic world.
Here's an article, from 2003, about the new president of the UC System:
Robert C. Dynes named 18th president of the University of California
June 11, 2003
currents.ucsc.edu ...The Regents approved a salary of $395,000 per year for the new president. That figure is 18 percent less than the $465,872 average presidential salary of the public and private universities across the nation that UC uses for salary-comparison purposes. It is consistent with the $394,640 average presidential salary of UC's public comparison institutions...

If so, isnt there a public record of who owns the place? Yes, follow the link above, and enter "Square 0273, Lot 2128".
You can see her actual street address, although I don't see what purpose would be served by posting her street address on the internet [which is why I chose not to post it in the first place].

I don’t care about the address and agree that it shouldn’t be posted.
My point was that it is a public record and someone could go to the local municipal office and look up who owns the place, purchase price, etc. Maybe such info is available on line too.

Go to the link for "District of Columbia: Real Property Assessment Search", and enter "Square 0273, Lot 2128".
Huma Abedin is listed as the sole owner of the condo.
The sale took place on September 18, 2006.
The sale price was $649,000.

Just in case the DC Authorities decide to remove Huma Abedin from their Property Assessment database, I've made a JPG of the record, with her street address blackened out:

There is certainly more to the story of Ms. Abedin than meets the eye. I subscribe to Vogue, and when I read the article about her I was speechless. Where did this person come from? Hillary Clinton has been a political figure of some importance for 25 years. People like that have tons of hangers-on and many loyal staff people who stick with them as they rise to powr. Politicians running for high office usually insist on surrounding themselves with such longtime loyalists. How does a total newcomer like Huma Abedin end up being Hillary Clinton's closest persnal advisor? If she isn't Hillary's lover, she has defied every rule of politics to get where she is now. And if she is Hillary's lover, it's easy to imagine Hilary haveing a tremendous blind spot about Abedin's motives. It just does not pass the smell test if you know anything about politics!

It just does not pass the smell test if you know anything about politics! No, nothing about this story passes the smell test.
A 60-year-old woman, playing BFF with a 32-year-old girl, does NOT pass the smell test.
The leading presidential candidate, playing BFF with someone who spent her formative years in a closed, Wahhabi society, and who is the daughter of Wahhabi-funded religious scholars, does NOT pass the smell test.
A 32-year-old girl, who's never earned more than $28,000 in her life, plunking down $649,000 for a condo, does NOT pass the smell test.

Here is the obvious solution: Shrillery gives Huma “investment advice” on cattle futures, etc., teaching Huma how to turn each $1,000 into $100,000 at the snap of her fingers. How can Huma lack funds for her designer bags, etc. when she can turn each month’s paycheck into hundreds of thousands of dollars?
