The way he talks about air power as employed during Desert Storm is ludicrous. Seems to me the 1 1/2 months of constant bombing made the 100 hour cake walk for the Army/Marines.

But there have been times where the Air Force has done lots of bombing and it was ineffective.

The beaches of Normandy and plenty of islands in the Pacific were bombed by the Army Air Corp and Navy. Bombing isn’t always effective if the enemy has the right defenses.

Ah yes. I remember sitting in our forward position in the middle of nowhere and listening to the bombing runs, thinking "Sweet - less people to shoot at us." The sound of your guys carpet bombing the area you're about to invade is deeply comforting.
