I renamed my husband’s employer’s department “INhuman Resources”. The droids that work in that department are anything but humanitarian.
I worked for a small company which was bought out by Robert Bosch (600,000 employees). Shortly after taking over they brought in a new HR director from a temp service. He got rid of all the carry over HR staff and replaced them with temps. in the ensuing years, the entire department would take vacation at the same time. That wasn't much of a handicap as none of them knew a thing about our benefit program and there were no "employee handbooks" to fall back on.
Bosch eventually drove the place into the ground and left after closing the entire operation. We used to call the absentee management "Seagulls" because they'd fly in for a few days, make a lot of noise, crap all over everything in sight, and then fly off!

GtG
PS I retired before they pulled the plug!
