The most influential US liberals:

1. BILL CLINTON
2. AL GORE
3. MARK PENN
4. HILLARY CLINTON
5. NANCY PELOSI
6. BARACK OBAMA
7. MICHAEL MOORE

8. ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
Governor of California

Leaving him off the conservative list was a difficult decision but Schwarzenegger’s defiance of Republican orthodoxy and move towards California liberalism leaves him better placed to influence the liberal sphere. Even unstinting Schwarzenegger support of a Rudy Giuliani general election campaign in California would be unlikely to deliver the state to Republicans. His marriage to Maria Shriver took him into the Kennedy clan.

As an Austrian-born immigrant, the former body builder and action movie star is barred from the presidency, though he has not ruled out a run for the US Senate in 2010 if Barbara Boxer retires. Schwarzenegger’s actions to combat global warming have prompted an alliance with Tony Blair and is likely lead to his working more closely with Al Gore. For any Democrat entering the Oval Office, one of the first calls will be to Schwarzenegger.

9. OPRAH WINFREY
10. EVAN BAYH

1) Leaving Arnold off a list of top conservatives shouldn't have been a difficult choice at all. that should have been a big red warning flag the people making this list didn't have the slightest clue what they were talking about.

If Arnold can't deliver Cali for the GOP, and Rudy can't deliver N.Y. for the GOP...yeah, warning flag number 2!!

3) Rudy's defiance of republican orthodoxy and movement away from Reagan to embrace N.Y. liberalism? Does this not leave him more likely to influence the liberal sphere too? Do these people think before they write?

Now we know how Cameron got elected as their Tory leader.

the very FACT that conservatives dislike the GOP right now and the race is so fragmented because of it should set off glaring bells that many of the "leaders" do NOT represent conservatism.

And, serving in a Republican administration, running a highly trafficked website, and serving in the military do NOT automatically make you conservatives U.K. I mean, somewhere on this list I think they have drew carey and doesn't he describe himself more libertarian? And all he does is host the price is Right. Since when does that make him a powerful conservative influence.
