Hey, did you look at their list of the most influential liberals? Did you see who’s number eight? Arnold Schwarzenegger.

And, Giuliani compared himself to Schwarzenegger back in June. There isn't any difference between the two.

C’mon; everyone knows that as far as being the “most influential” that would be a close race between Rush and Newt for the top spot.

It’s sacrilege to have Rudy G. even listed as a Conservative and flat-out blasphemy to have him at #1.

All the stars are in alignment for a Democratic victory in 2008 but Giuliani has the potential to buck the historical trends and signal a dramatic shift in American conservatism by securing an unlikely win.

Well they got the shift part right--hard to the LEFT!

Amazing Neither Ann Coulter nor Michelle Malkin made the top 20...

He’s literally changed the face of talk radio.

I would state it even stronger. He created Talk Radio and by doing so he gave rise to a Conservative Counter Media that has done more to advance Conservative values then any other single living person in the country. Rush should be #1 on this list. No one else is even close to him in influence

Agreed... Rush Limbaugh is and had been the most influential conservative for some time now.

So influential, that it recently took 40+ democratic senators (fomally as the senate) to personally attack a private citizen, for maybe the first time in the history of this country.

No doubt ...They fear the power of "ditto".

close race between Rush and Newt

Nope. Rush in a walk. Rush has never drank the Global Warming kool aid or relentlessly sucked up to the Clinton Crime Family the way Newtie does.

Was this list put together by liberals?

Anyone know why Haley Barbour didn’t run for the 2008 presidency?

Great question. I wish he would have.

One thing they did get right is that Barbour would be a clever choice for a running mate, especially if Rudy or Romney cadge the nomination.

We could do much worse than having a strong Conservative as veep, who in the best case scenario would be grooming for a 2016 run. My guess is that were Giuliani nominated, he would have to balance the ticket with a Barbour or Duncan Hunter type.

This is why I don’t really worry about Rudy “redefining” Conservatism or Republicanism; the ship would be righted when he left office.

I would rank Cheney No.1, although his "conservative" credentials are somewhat lacking.

By far and away the most influential man in the U.S. now.

He wants to finish the job on the coast and the rest of the state for that matter. Mississippi has done well under his care.

He also wants to keep the disaster in waiting John Aurthur Eaves out of the Governor's mansion

Do you think he is a future presidential candidate?

Would he accept a VP slot? Based on what you are saying probably not?

He’s 60, depends on timing, but I doubt a VP slot, because if he wanted to leave MS he would have run IMHO.

If he's needed in 2012 or 2016, given how well he has done here, I could see a run. MS Party scuttle butt is mixed on whether he wants to.

This list is a total crock.

The most influential conservative in the country is Rush Limbaugh, and it isn’t even close.

Limbaugh preaches Reaganism 3 hours per day to nearly 20 million people.

His influence on conservative political candidates is vastly understated.

Rudy Giuliani? He isn’t even conservative. Pro-abortion, pro-gun control, pro-gay marriage.....
