Ummm...I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but these are actually two different events, but both were reported (and posted by myself here at FR) on the same day!

In the story in this thread, the dog is a "Kelpie" (an Australian sheepdog) whereas in the other story the dog is a Doberman.

I knew that there would be some confusion between the two because it's certainly a rarity to have such amazing canine heroism displayed in such a similar manner on the same day
