For seventy years or more the Scouts have been working to prevent this sort of thing. But they are up against a zeigeist that refuses to look reality in the eye. It used to be that the Scouts would ask these guys quietly just to clear out, or get prosecuted. But recently they have become brazen, sure that public opinion will back their “right” to consort with boys and pick out victims. The wierd think is that the public rages at the Catholics bishops for not getting rid of “pedophile” priests and raves at the Scouts for getting rid of pedophile scoutmasters. Lunacy.
My Great Aunt was a doctor at Children’s Hospital in San Francisco in the Thirties,Forties and Fifties.
She was VEHEMENT that none us ever join the Boy Scouts because of the molested boys she had run across in her practice.
