While I may be mistaken, I do not believe any AK-47s are made in the USA. Most of those currently sold in the U.S. originated in the old Eastern bloc and have had the required 10% of Amercian parts added. A Yugo AK sells for about $600, new. And since the Russians stopped exporting 7.62x39, the price of ammo has increased substantially.

Also, these folks have apparently never heard of Brazil and / or Taurus which makes some of the best quality S&W clones and semi-autos.

Curious that there is apparently so little demand for US-made AK's given that one could legally do a lot of things with a US-made AK that would be forbidden on a foreign one.
