Can you provide some sources for the following...
“may I remind you that a number of LDS leaders have gone on record to say they consider themselves “gods-in-embryo”...
Thanks
Yes, past LDS prophets Ezra Taft Benson (who served in the Eisenhower administration) and Spencer W. Kimball.
Kimball, 1969, THE MIRACLE OF FORGIVENESS, p. 286: "...we are commanded to be supermen...We are gods in embryo, and the Lord demands perfection for us." [see also. p. 3]
Kimball: Man can transform himself, but he has in him the seeds of Godhood that can grow. He can lift himself by his very bootstraps. Spencer W. Kimball, SLC Trib, 9/18/74
Benson: "We are gods in embryo." (Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, p. 21)
Also, lest you don't think LDS are serious about multiple gods, and that folks like Romney are intent to be gods, note this Kimball comment: "Brethren 225,000 of you are here tonight. I suppose 225,000 of you may become gods. There seems to be plenty of space out there in the universe. And the Lord has proved that he knows how to do it. I think he could make, or probably have us help make, worlds for all of us, for every one of us 225,000." (The Ensign Magazine, Nov. 1975, p. 80).

We consider ALL people to have the potential (thanks to the atonement) to become like Christ. Don’t be fooled by dishonest or ill-informed people who try to make it sound like some individuals consider themselves better than their fellowman.
