Dolly, I love to hear your stories! I have never got to visit Lehman’s but we did get their catalogs for years. My husband loved them. I saw the stoves you described and they were the most fantastic looking things ever. (with fantastic prices!)
We could sit for hours and look at their catalogs. Sometimes we raced to see who could get it in our hands first.

Every now and then, I will get a mailing from them. We ordered a few ‘small things’ but never anything big, even though we would like to! I can’t imagine seeing it in person. Sounds like you all had a wonderful time and ate at some interesting places. I don’t know how Wheelbarrow kept up. I am not sure I could. Give us some pictures when you can!

They had a bout 15 varieties of apples that they grow in orchards. This place is really in the boonies & we tripped upon it accidently at a prior trip. Here is a long hedge of topiary with apples.. so pretty.

Here are Bill & I at a large pumpkin close to the areas where the apples are available to pick. They are only 45 cents/pound & have none of that awful wax on them.

One pix of our couple hour walk at the metro park. We had to take the trails for a bit but then went off trail (dogs are supposed to be leashed).. lots of lakes, ponds, rivers, stumps with critters inside etc. This is part of the OE canal that is near my house.. but about 45 miles further south. The old locks are partially preserved.

Pat & I at Macaroni Grill . Look at the size of their house wine Cainti.. 4.99 /glass & equivalent to 2 regular wine servings.

Will post some pix from store later..(or maybe tomorrow)
