left Singapore... was to land in Sydney almost 7.5 hours later.
7 1/2 hours from Singapore to Sydney? For real?
Anyway, if they could get that kind of money for every seat all the time, they could just about make back the development costs for this plane.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the flight," Captain Robert Ting told passengers as flight attendants handed out hot towels and cameras clicked. There's some Ting in the air.

With the price of jet fuel I wonder if they have to put in 800 coach seats to break even on a flight.
I thought I read somewhere that the 800 seat version won't be economical because of the extra strengthening (more weight) required for the upper deck.

All Nippon Air does it right too.
Plus all the female flight attendants and counter personnel wear scarves (never saw a male flight attendant; aka stewperson) and they have fresh orchids everywhere.

7 1/2 hours from Singapore to Sydney? For real? Singapore is northwest of Australia.Sydney is in the southeastern corner of that large country (about the same size of the continental US).7 1/2 hours sounds right.

I was a transit passenger in Sydney for several hours, so never left "lockup"...but looking through the glassed partition, the immigration lines looked to be hours long.
Fortunately, it was a three minute process once I got to Perth where I cleared.

Have you tried a Citation or a Lear? That’s the only way to travel in my estimation.

Freak Me a freak, or a freak accident?
What goes up must comes down, and not always as planned. Typical casualties went from 30 to 75 to 150 to 250, and now we're looking at the possibility of 600-800 at a time.
I'm glad I'm not a fireman.
