And, if Giuliani should, by some twist of fate, win the presidency, it will mean the end of Reaganism. It will represent a turning point in the history of the Republican Party and our nation. It will mean the continued deaths of tens of millions unborn babies when we are closer than ever to defeating the abortion culture that Roe v. Wade initiated in 1973.
Should Giuliani succeed, it will represent the end of any hope for the Republican Party to serve as an alternative to the Democratic Party for millions of people like me and Dr. Dobson. That's bigger than two terms of Hillary Rodham Clinton. That's worse even than four or eight more years in the wilderness.
I actually believe it would be worse for America if Rudy Giuliani were elected president than Hillary Rodham Clinton.
If Hillary wins, the reaction to her predictable overreaching will be similar to what we experienced in 1994 a "Republican revolution."
If Rudy wins, millions will simply defect from the Republican Party. If you want to see the rise of a third party, just be sure to nominate Giuliani and elect him as president.
The long-term consequences of a Giuliani victory are far worse than the consequences of a Clinton victory.
So let's avoid that dire choice now. There's still time to avoid such an unpleasant scenario. Let's just nominate a Republican the Republican base can support.

Thank you for putting it so well.
Thanks, nothingnew.
Amen. AND the military will be weakened and minimized. On the ground intelligence? Scrubbed again.
Look for the new SCOTUS justices under hillary to be wearing their Code Pink robes.
The FR standard reply: "Buh-bye, you dope smoking anarchist perverts, Don't let the door hit yer butt on the way out."
One issue self-proclaimed "values voters": "If the GOP nominee does not enshrine our "values" above all else, we'll sit it out or vote third party"
The FR standard reply: "OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!! It's the end of the Republican Party"
No, Giuliani does that by making turning both parties in to pro-abortion ones.
I'd much RATHER relive the Clinton years than the Nixon years. And, that would be the choice if it is Hillary vs. Giuliani. Republicans retook Congress in the Clinton years and we got a balanced budget, welfare reform and eventually conservative Supreme Court justices because we took back Congress.
There is nothing worse than a scenario where there is no conservative President until 2016 and no chance of taking back Congress for, likely, a decade of Giuliani gets office.
Liberal Republicans do more damage for longer periods of time than liberal Democrats.
Has he said that during this campaign or is that earlier?
A Giuliani nomination is likely the only way Hillary Clinton can win the Presidency.
I don’t like JulieAnnie.
BUT, if Hillary gets in, the war we are involved with against Islam will be seriously compromised. If JulieAnnie gets in, it won’t.
Hillary would probably perform an abortion herself if it would get her a vote. JuliAnnie appears to be concerned about personal liberty issues.
Hillary will DEFINATELY come after ALL our guns. JulieAnnie will just regulate them to the point we go out of minds.
BOTH Hillary and JulieAnnie would welcome illegal invaders.
America is INDEED in deep trouble.
On the other hand, a choice between Hillary and Rudy
(A Hobson’s Choice) MIGHT just be the flame that ignites popular opinion enough to create a third political party as an alternative to the Republicrats - and - in the long term, help America.
-Dr. James Dobson
You act as if Hillary Clinton is going to be dictator. She actually will have a harder time getting liberal legislation pasted than Giuliani. The Republicans will oppose a Democrat pushing liberal legislation in most cases but rarely do when a Republican is pushing it.
As far as the WOT, Hillary isn't stupid. Losing the WOT or in Iraq would result in her losing power. So, I have no doubt that she would continue both and try and take credit for winning either if that happened on her watch.
There really isn't much difference between liberal of either party taking office.
Only putting a conservative in office will result in any positive changes. And, I will not select option that prevents that from happening until 2016.
How hard will it be for Republicans to oppose Hillary's legislation with a Democratic House and Senate? There really is no way we can retake either house in '08. So you're hedging all your bets on the 2010 elections swinging Republican, which may or may not happen as its impossible to tell what the political climate will be now.
In the meantime, how much legislation do you think Hillary could get passed in the two years before 2010, not to mention the likely judicial picks she'll get?
again, if he was merely a moderate who was “pro-choice” that would be a different story but this is someone very radical who is for partial birth abortion and taxpayer funding
No harder than it was with 43 seats in the Senate to block Hillary Clinton's health care plan in 1993. Or stop Bill Clinton's proposal of gays in the military. Very little got done in the first two years of the Clinton administration.
What will be impossible is to stop any liberal legislation Giuliani might push for with what will likely be a shrinking minority of Republicans in the Senate.
And, if Hillary and the Dems push liberal legislation, it will pave the way for the GOP to retake Congress, probably in 2010, whereas they have no chance of doing so if Giuliani reaches office.
it’s not going to be easy but the gop will have a chance to recover in 2-4 years.
Remember, past performance is no guarantee of future results. The political climate is different now than it is now. Health care is seen as a bigger concern among the population at large, making it easier for Hillary to sell her ideas. Also, remember that too much obstruction by Republicans could backfire. Remember that in 2002 Republicans made a big point of Democratic obstructionism as a part of their campaign message. What's to say that Democrats could turn things around and use that same issue, claiming we are nothing but hypocrites? Making assumptions about the future based on a past time when priorities were different is setting yourself up for failure.
And, if Hillary and the Dems push liberal legislation, it will pave the way for the GOP to retake Congress, probably in 2010, whereas they have no chance of doing so if Giuliani reaches office.
Once again you're making assumptions. How do you know that Republicans will necessarily retake Congress in 2010, or even that they will turn around and bow down to the social conservatives after they acted like children? What about judicial picks that Hillary will get to make?
Because that's what happened when Bill Clinton was office and because Hillary is far more unpopular than Bill?
And, we're getting the same judges with Hillary or Giuliani. The only chance for conservative judges is a strong conservative President dedicated to getting conservative to the bench or a Republican senate with a Republican President that isn't a RINO.
I hope you believe the same thing about Giuliani.
