“The one who calls anti-amnesty proponents “racists?” No thanks!”

The question wasn’t whether you like a candidate’s, like Huckabee’s positions; which it isn’t my intention to defend or denigrate. The question was how can you, except your own wants/desires declare that Senator Thompson won the debate. Rudy’s guys are probably saying the same thing.

There has to be some objected measure by which this can be judged. It seems to me, that what effect did the debate have on undecideds is most important. Most have already firmly fixed themselves upon a single candidate. It is the undecideds that count. How did this group perceive the debate, who were they most impressed with?

Really, there isn’t. If their campaign was helped, they did okay. But it is hard to measure. Some people do “great” in a debate then lose the election. Well did they ‘win’ the debate after all? If someone is shilling for ‘their guy’ saying how great they did not matter what, then it’s spin just like the post-debate spin-room spin.

***That’s why I post Intrade results before & after the debates. This time around I couldn’t get a “before” snapshot.

The latest debate showed that Thompson lost and Huckabee won.

As far as I can tell, it’s the best way to determine the winner with an unbiased approach.
