Skin so dry that lotion just doesn’t cut it.]

Yep, and the static electricity during wind season isn't fun either.

We had Jade bushes in our backyard in Anaheim - Santa Ana canyon.  Jade is a succulent plant and normally there's enough rainfall so the leaves are 1/4 inch thick and filled with water.   This year the Jade leaves were paper thin and, for the 1st time ever, we had to adjust the sprinkler coverage to keep them alive.  The vegetation in the canyons and hills is in a similar dehydrated state.  Driest I can remember in 20 years of living  in So Cal.

Prayers up for folks out there.

Does anyone know of a map of the evacuation areas? I have family in Poway and Escondido; cannot contact them...stuck here in South Carolina.
