This evacuation is so organized, from what I can see via the news..and with alot less notice. People taking care of their neighbors. Not waiting for the gubmint to take care of them.
I have alot of soot on my car. I want a 4K debit card.

I worked in a FEMA site after the Northridge Earthquake. You should have
heard the screaming!! People came in in packs to get
their money.
That is the time and place where I learned a dislike of people from the middle east.

>>NCAS Miramar (Top Gun?) being evacuated.<<
Are you sure on that one?
They are evacuating Scripps Ranch and the part of MCAS Miramar east of I-15, but that’s all brushland impact zone.
I don’t believe they are evacuating the base personnel at this time, and they will probably be there long after they make me get out.

I’m in El Cajon. That La Mesa fire was quite small and has already been put out.

These fires are bringing out the worst in Freepers. It did in me and for that I apologize. I certainly feel for the folks in California and hope the fires are controlled very quickly, before any more loss of life and property. God bless the firefighters out there.

That’s bad. Are they evacuating the families, too? Or just the airplanes.

Hurricane winds are sustained MPH, not gusts. A 200 MPH gust is not hurricane.

I think it is just the planes. I haven’t heard/read anything about Miramar housing (onbase) having to evacuate. Military Housing (off base)in Ramona has been evacuated. I am trying to find out more, the reportette on KUSI said the planes were being evacuated to Az (MCAS Yuma).

Just heard a report about Fallbrook. Fire has jumped 15 east of Fallbrook. Headed fast west into southeast Fallbrook. Evacuation for all north of 76 and west of 15. Apparently they are letting everyone drive through Camp Pendleton to get to the 5 freeway. Looks like Camp Pendleton will also eventually get hit if the wind keeps up.
