I agree. McCain appeared to be a small, petty, mean-spirited old man, while Mitt remained a gentleman acknowledging McCain's service and sacrifice. I wish Romney could have pointed out how McCain and his Gang of 14 have stabbed the conservatives in the back time and again in the last few years.

I think Rudy911 and McCainHanoiHilton are going to milk their tickets to fame for all they are worth until the end. I guess I cannot blame them.

It's pretty clear, though, that FOX and Rudy are happy to throw softballs at McCain and Huckabee in order to continue to keep them in the race to split the conservative vote so Rudy can win. The smart thing to do is unite behind the one conservative who has what it takes to beat Rudy (see tagline).

Also, while Huckabee seems to have a winning debate style, this is about winning the White House with conservative principles. We cannot forget that Huckabee opposed legislation that would deny government benefits to illegal aliens. How is that conservative? Also, anyone who insinuates, like Huckabee has done, that those who want the border secure and our immigration laws enforced are racists or bigots is not the kind of conservative our country needs right now. Huckabee Weak on Illegal Immigration (http://dakotavoice.blogspot.com/2007/10/huckabee-weak-on-illegal-immigration.html)

In addition, he offers more of the same in the tax and spend department and will do nothing about changing the current wrong-headed course in Washington.
Mike Huckabee, The Sam's Club Candidate?
About Gov. Huckabee, the Club for Growth, which aims to be a gatekeeper interest group in 2008, is adamant. The group's leaders in Washington do not like him. He's the only person with his own category on the Club's blog. They point out that the state's per capita income is, by some measures, the second lowest among 50 states. They say he raised taxes five times -- a gas tax increase in 1999, the cigarette tax hike, tax increases in '2004, a tax on beer and a tax on nursing homes...He is certainly not a traditional small-government conservative...

I love doing the promoting the right thing, it take will and courage to forge ahead in a den of blue devils, but Romney was able to do it and that you can not take away from Mitt!

I agree with you.... The only candidate that actually spoke to what this nation is about was Duncan Hunter... FREEDOM and what is required to keep US Free... The rest of them are so bogggggged down in maintaining the status quo .... meaning preservation of their generations handouts, although Mr. Thompson did mention what future generation can expect.

The FEAR factor of Hillry seems to loom above all else and what have any of these done since 1992 to expose who and what Hillry is really about..... Hillry has run circles around the male population and sadly that will play into the minds of many ‘female’ voters.... especially if their spouse is anything like the majority of those on stage last night.

John McCain/Feingold has been Hillry’s best friend because they birthed SOROS buying the liberal Democrat party and McCain has been totally silent in results... WHY because he got his share of their bought and paid for media bright lights.

(I do not mean to slight Tancredo but the liberal media has pretty much made him irrelevant.) They do not dare allow Duncan Hunter that kind of media spotlight, his military awareness and a son on the battlefield won’t play with their latest twisted lies against those speaking having never served.)

You mean you were serious when posted "Romney is the real thing he is the bedrock"? Romney is seriously challenging John Kerry for the title of "Greatest Flip-Flopper". Pro-abortion/anti-abortion, pro-gay rights/anti-gay rights, pro-gun control/anti-gun control, pro-socialized medicine/anti-socialized medicine, pro-nanny state/anti-nanny state.

You might like Romney and the principles he espouses at any particular time, but a "bedrock" he ain't.

“Fertility coverage is for women...is it not?”

Good point. Sometimes late at night we are tired, and just need an excuse to smile, though. :)

Why should anyone trust her judgement....she married serpent head after all!

&&&
Exactly! I have no respect for Matlin whatsoever, and I change the channel whenever she is on.

On another note, I changed the channel from H&C as soon as they came up with that “text-your-choice-of-the-winner” bullclinton.

What a stupid stunt. I excused them the first time, but surely they must have heard from enough conservatives about how foolish that is. But I guess they just enjoy too much their cut of the texting fees and that they want Paul to look like an actual candidate.

Jeez! Even “Dancing with the Stars” lets people vote in more than one way.

What was also nausiating was when he called her “cackling”, disarming..

***
Well, “disarming” doesn’t necessarily mean “charming”, you know. Yes, he did seem a little too kind to her that day. I remember wondering about it myself. But I guess he had to find something kind to say about her, so as not to appear partisan. Given what a decent guy he seems to be, I would be willing to bet that he despises Hitlery as much as we do.

I think Wallace is excellent as the host of FNS.

I like Duncan Hunter .... a lot. However, much we love what he says, though, he is not going to win the nomination, nor does he have the money or the campaign organization to fight the Clinton machine (even if he could win the nomination). We have to be somewhat realistic. Thankfully, Romney agrees with Duncan Hunter and the GOP platform more than any other top-tier candidate.

Just got back from the store where a car had a Vote for Ron Paul bumper sticker next to an Impeach Bush sticker.

^^^
Ron Paul is there to divide the votes of those who would normally vote Republican, but I suspect he will appeal mostly to the pro-druggie fringe and not conservatives. And, of course, the pro-jihadists have got to love him because he feeds into their BDS.

I think Mutt got a new hair style because the other was too perfect. Personally, I think it looks better.

I find him quite attractive physically. (Don’t worry, I am a woman.) But I would not vote for him.

It is very telling that the BIG TENT party's money is not interested in conservatism but in installing their ticket to self preservation. I have not been inspired by Romney, but have not decided I won't vote for him in the general. I won't be voting for Rudy, McCain, and Huckbeee in any case.... Does NOT make me a Hillry supporter, just that the GOP is NOT about what is RIGHT they have become a mirror image of the DEMS.

Oh just in case someone needs clarification, RonPaul did not get mentioned as one I won't be voting for .... I am a CONSERVATIVE .... this guy is ?????

Stop reacting to others buzz words and see who is endorsing Mitt, he would not be receiving those endorsements if he did not qualify!

It was an observation, get over it. Actually, I didn’t see the need for any other reply....your “every candidate” was baloney.

The post you referred to was remarking on an exchange between TWO candidates, not “dumping” on them all. One candidate gave the other an easy home run...which will be played up to the hilt to support the RINO candidate.

That’s exactly what Faux News was pushing this morning...the same clip was getting airplay and used to promote the RINO as a “home run” and how much he’s “in command” he seemed.

I could post each candidates ‘record of accomplishment’ or lack thereof in some cases, but there were plenty of other threads for that and it would only get your dander up as well.

When you push for BIG TENT RINOs, you end up with clowns and circus freaks who only assist DUmocrats in taking down the GOP. It’s beyond time to take the party back from those RINOs like Rudy & McCain...what better time than the primaries to make that happen?
