Because if he is nominated, the party will not survive...

There's only one way: absolute crushing defeat that tells the Party leaders that the way to beat Hillary is not to be Hillary-lite. Upon Giuliani's nomination, my strategy shifts to "since she's gonna be elected, let's keep her in check." I will remind liberal-leaning people around me that the best years of the previous Clinton administration were not 93 and 94 (when Hillary tried to take over health care singlehandedly) but from 1995-2000, when the Republicans had completely taken over Congress.

The libs will freak out that she doesn't withdraw from Iraq in her first hundred days, and then she will have lost them, too. I'd rather have a defanged Hillary than to see the spectacle of Rudy begging Republicans to vote for stuff that he's already got the Rats on board with. You think we had it bad while GWB was trying to shove shamnesty down our throats? Four long years of a Rudy presidency would be like that on a daily basis. The Republican Party would rip itself to shreds.

The rats are not going to allow 2010 to become 1994. Through amnesty and vote buying, they will solidify their grip on power. Our only hope is to regain the House. If we do not regain lost seats in the House, the rats will banish conservatives to the political wasteland.

Although I am supporting FDT in the primaries, I will strongly support the Republican nominee. I share your California concerns. Arnie has been a bitter disappointment although he is better than Gray Davis on a many issues. If Giuliani is elected, I think that he will tilt right in opposition to the rat congress. I think that he would tilt left with a conservative congress. Bush has been more conservative in dealing with a rat majority.

I agree. It would be better if hillary were elected than Rudy.

As I said, I would not vote for her, but I believe it would be better for the country in the long run, because at least it would preserve our two party system.

I also tend to agree with you that, with luck, she would only have two years to do her damage, before the Republicans took back congress. And hopefully only one term in office.

The woman has only managed to stay remotely popular by keeping mostly out of sight and letting the media shill for her. Every time she comes to the front of the stage, she has screwed up and shown what she really is. Unlike her smooth-talking husband, she is a very poor liar. She only survives by staying in the background and letting others spin for her.
