The city of Chula Vista is staging voluntary evacuations for eastern portions of the city as the deadly Harris fire continues to cut a path west.
The fire, which has burned 20,000 acres and is 5 percent contained, has killed one person and injured 18 more, including four firefighters.
A smaller fire is burning about 400 acres in the Descanso area but is expected to be fully contained Tuesday.
