The animals had enough sense to go to these places to escape the fire.

And hopefully all of us ape-like animals will have the sense to evacuate when the order is given. We have fires all over the Southland and have Santa Ana winds forecast for the next two days combined with no humidity and a record dry rainy season.

I’m with you.

FWIW I’m a volunteer emergency communicator here in San Diego County that just got off my shift. Based on what I’ve been hearing, I can not overstate just how serious this situation is.

Folks west of the Witch Fire area - including Poway, Escondido, Valley Center, Rancho Bernardo, and other locations along I-15 need to monitor the situation very closely. Know your evacuation routes, and be prepared to move quickly if/when the evacuation call comes. BTW, don’t solely rely on the Reverse-911 system - doesn’t work with cell phones, for example.

Nite, all - I have a feeling tomorrow’s going to be a long day.

Prayers for all those affected by the fires tonight...
