It's amazing that you don't see that Guiliani is the worst possible candidate. First, he can't possibly win. His lack of support among conservative Republicans dooms his candidacy from the start. Second, If he were to win the nomination, the loss of the presidency would be overshadowed by the destruction of the Republican party, the only thing standing between total liberal Democrat control of our Country. Nominating a candidate who goes against not just a few but almost every principle of the Republican party would be a demonstration to everyone that Republicans stand for nothing. Such a party could not continue to exist as any effective form of opposition to the Democrats.
I think the fear of Hillary and the Democrats is overdone. Unless Democrats win overwhelming majorities in the House and the Senate, even Hillary will have a hard time getting her more radical ideas put into law.
The result of nominating Guilinai would be catastrophic. Hillary would be the next president for sure. Hillary would be bad for the Country, yes. The destruction of the only party that can effectively oppose the march towards liberalism would be worse.
God fearing people will vote for Rudy over Hillary. But the numer of socons that won’t vote for him will be more than made up with moderate dems, the ones who will decide this election. So...do what you want.
