"Splitting the conservative vote accomplishes nothing for your end goal, and sets it back 2 generations."

Sorry for an intelligent poster you are missing the point. The end goal is to nominate pro-life candidates if not in 2008 then 2012. Also an intelligent poster wouldn't believe Giuliani. You say anyone but Paul, I say anyone but Giuliani.

I think the debate last night established two things.

THe focus group preshow established there is a UNIVERSAL 100% perception Hillary Clinton is a socialist.

(that is just a freebee and just plain fun)

ok onwards

Last night the debate established OVERWHELMINGLY that all the candidates and the audience DO NOT WANT hillary clinton to be president.

Last night, thanks to Fred Thompsons opening shot, Giuliani was firmly established as having MULTIPLE positions which are identical to hillary clinton.

Last night, Giuliani’s “you have got to be kidding” doth protest too much and failure to deny he has multiple identical positions as hillary clinton further set him up as a hillary clinton clone.

The conclusion:

Hillary Clinton is running in the GOP Primary via surrogate Giuliani.

Voting against Giuliani in the primary is voting against Hillary Clinton.

furthermore:

No Giuliani, No problem.

This is why the MSM is pushing the Fruitless Five to stay in the race. Huckabee is out of money. He has ZERO chance of winning but he is a good vote splitter.

Keeping the field open and away from the top three allows Giuliani and his 25-27% standing to win a plurality by divide and conquer.

In a general election it is Hillary vs Hillary. Hillary the democrat will run to the right of Hillary the republican.

Did you know Hillary was the senator of NY on 9/11?
(sound familiar?)

No Giuliani, no problem.

No I am not missing the point, you are. You think there are 4 or 8 years to wait, and if your focus is pro life, there aren’t.

Look again at the ages of the justices I have posted. Many of the liberals have been holding on because they don’t want Bush to be the one to replace them... You have at least 2 conservatives that may not last 4 more years, and certainly the odds of them lasting 8 is beyond questionable.

If you think voting in a pro life candidate in 2016 will help your cause, you are not paying attention. By 2016 5-6 justices will be replaced, and 2012 is even a possibility. The elderly liberal judges will announce retirements within the first year of a Hitlery presidency for certain... all it takes is 1, just 1 elderly conservative or the 1 swing judge to die, become incompacitated or retire during the 4 years between 08 and 12 and the court is assured to be 5-4 pro abortion for the next 20-40 years.

You are cutting off your nose to spite your face, and not remotely aiding in the goal you claim to be wishing to accomplish.

By 12 the damage very well can be done, by 16 it certainly will be. You want a pro life candidate, support one in the primaries, but once the nominee is chosen, if your efforts were not enough to win the candidacy, you don’t pull the kind of nonsense that some of the so called “values” voters are claiming. All this is going to do is leave you out in the cold and ensure the values you claim to be fighting for wind up being further harmed.

Abortion sadly is not being dealt with by legislators or executors, but by the court, you let the court get tilted outside your favor then your DONE for a generation or two, its really no more complicated than that.

If the court is 6-3 or 5-4 by 2012 and certainly will be 6-3 against you by 2016 if Hitlery is in, no “true conservative” you elect will be able to do a damned thing.

Stop thinking small and start looking at the bigger picture, the big picture in terms of the abortion issue, is, quite simply the court, period. Congress could remove abortion from the perview of the court constitutionally, but it won’t, so the court is it. An R victory combined with the ages of the courts liberal members, will ensure the continued movement of the court to the right. An D victory will ensure the movement left of the court against the values of the country that’s been going on now for 20-30 years, will continue for another 20-30 years.

If you can’t see that, then there is little hope for you, or the values you claim to be fighting for.
