"I will be supporting the Republican candidate, as long as they are not anti-war"

You have your 'no vote' conditions, ours is pro-life. We have as much right to vote as we choose as you do.

No one has argued you don’t have a right to choose as you do... just understand what you are “choosing” by that choice. If “values voters” cut off their noses to spite their faces and you hand Hitlery the white house, you can kiss completely goodbye any chance in your lifetime of the court returning abortion to the states, and are guaranteed to condemn millions more to die each year.

If your goal is as you claim to stop abortion, you cannot engage in an activity that would assure an utter entrenchment of the antithesis of your views into the court for at least a generation or two to come.

Breyer 69 years old, liberal leaning.
Thomas 59 years old, conservative but african americans have a shorter lifespan statitically speaking.
Ginsburg 74 years old, liberal
Alito 57 years old, conservative
Kennedy 71 years old swing (Catholic)
Stevens 87 years old, liberal
Roberts 52 years old, conservative
Scalia 71 years old, conservative
Souter 68 years old, liberal

In the next 4-8 years you will have at least 5-6 openings on the court.

You claim “life” is your vote, but you know damned well if Hitlery is the president, no nominee that remotely holds a veiw that abortion is not a right protected by the constitution will be presented. That means the liberal view of abortion will rule the court for at least 40 years if Hitlery wins. 3-4 million or so a year, 40 years, 1.2-1.6 BILLION murders, that you can clap yourself on the back for allowing to continue so you could claim your “principle”, good job doing your part to help end abortion.

While you don’t have to like Rudy, or support him in the primary, to say I won’t vote for him and go third party or stay home in the general if he’s the nominee, if your goal is to move to ending abortion, is nonsensical and shallow thinking. You don’t have to like him, but Rudy is surely not going to be presenting leftist ideologues and feminazis to the supreme court. His nominees may not be as conservative as you may want, but they damned well will not be the radicalized activists that we all know Hitlery will nominate.

So, which candidate is more likely to nominate AND FIGHT for nominees who don’t tow the feminist abortion line? Hitlery or Rudy? Simple fact is, while you may not like the man, there is no rational way you can claim Rudy is Hillary on this issue, unless you are ill informed, or just flat out ignorant. You may not like the fact Rudy has claimed he’ll hire strict constitutionalists.. but Hitlery has openly stated no one who threatens abortion would get her nomination.

So, you can claim you are taking a princpled stand, and accomplishing nothing but letting the abject enemy of your goals into power, and ensure that your movement goes nowhere for at 40 years in terms of federal law, or you can influence change, even if not as much as one would want, in your direction.

Splitting the conservative vote accomplishes nothing for your end goal, and sets it back 2 generations.
