Why don't YOU take your own advice and accept reality? Rudy is not qualified to be president of this country and Rudy is NOT GOING to be the president of this country. There are enough of us out here to see to that. So, perhaps YOU should ACCEPT THAT REALITY and find a candidate that might actually BE electable.
Do you still not recognize the idiocy of “unborn fetuses?”
Without due process of law can be interpreted in several ways. Trial by jury or judge or act of legislature, as in 10th Amendment and enumeration of those rights not specifically listed granted to the states, but that wouldn't have bolstered your case.
Fifth Amendment, reasonable argument. 14th Amendment, post-Civil War apologetic, PC-mumbo-jumbo.
Posterity is can be parsed in several ways. These were learned men who were well away of the impact of history. Posterity could simply mean the light in which this great nation would be viewed 2000 years hence. it could also refer to the offspring or those who would be citizens at a later time.
I did take the time to look at each of the seven definitions listed at Webster's (I believe) On-Line and in the context of "blessings of liberty for our posterity", yours was the proper context.
“Hildy, is that you?”
Is DMW short for DiMWit?
Sweet. Now if we could just get some politicians and judges who didn't have that part excised out of their copies.
For a liberal you’re pretty creative.
So I'm not a conservative now? News to me.
Nor is Giuliani a "true liberal". Look at his fiscal views, education views and foreign policy views to see where he is conservative. You know, views that as president really matter.
“For a liberal youre pretty creative.”
Been here since 1998 as opposed to your 2004. Speaks for itself.
A conservative democrat in the mold of Lieberman probably but not a conservative Republican.
Beautiful picture. 7 weeks old!
Contrasted with the post just before yours, the moral dimension of one is off-the-chart evil vs. extremely healthy and positive and life affirming.
Free Republic does not need disruptors like finnman69, glad to see him go.
Those 2 posts show where our party is today. Like the bible says, “Choose ye this day whom you will serve. “
Nice to see you can assume what my political views are. Too bad you don’t have a clue.
Same reason it would be hard to accept that there are "conservatives" that would support Clinton.
"Most of Clinton's policies are similar to most of mine." - Rudy Giuliani
Aw, more insults from the liar flaglady.
Have you looked up “fetus” yet?
“Been here since 1998 as opposed to your 2004. Speaks for itself.”
That’s what makes it all the more puzzling. Did you become more liberal in your views since 1998 or have you always been that way?
If Rudy wins the primary and you decide to abstain from voting on moral principles, please keep in mind that not even the religious right's god could not hand pick a perfect candidate.
Not only did the infamous King David fail miserably in the morals category but his innocent child was killed by the very god that these people worship as some sadistic form of punishment. Now that's irony for religious pro-lifers.
After the last election, I'm pretty damn sick of all the moral jihad.
I heartily agree with being cultural innovators . . . proactively taking territory for The Kingdom etc.
You show your ignorance on many levels.
Flaglady, you're pro-life and pro-Duncan Hunter as your past posting history indicates. Likewise, I been pro-life for decades and I'm pro-Fred Thompson in this primary season.
However, there's a coterie of pro-lifers here that consider themselves so principled and morally-superior that they'd rather stay home and let the Socialist/Communist party take over this nation than settle for a Republican who they don't like.
I deeply respect folks who stand stand on principle.......but it's useless to debate them when they have political blinders on. In fact, they're really not interested in political realities, only their own world which has no room for pragmatists who are just as principled as they.
Fortunately, pragmatic views will prevail during the GOP primary election as they always do. I doubt seriously that Rudy will come close to gaining the presidential nomination.....and as always, the abortion issue will not even be close to the top of voters concerns when they go to the polls. A sad thing to say, but true nonetheless.
Petronski, you like to agitate and twist peoples' reasoned and rational words. However, we're not as stupid out here as you would like to think. We've had too much FR training.
Those who choose to engage the single-issue voters in endless rhetorical quagmires are welcome to indulge themselves, but as for me, I'll avoid these fruitless debates like the plague between now and election.
How can anyone reason with people who think their pro-life position is morally superior to another's pro-life position?
A person is either pro-life or not. There are no shades. Yet I've never seen a more contentious group than the obsessive single-issue voter who consistently alternate between attack and martrydom positions every election.
Leni
That kind of petty, false charge is beneath you.
On that other issue about Fatima . . . tracked down some of the sites/docs . . .
the FR server crash delayed my attempts at beginning the post and now I’m out of gas, time, energy to bother further with it tonight. Will let you know when I get it posted.
