"I speak for at least half the people here, including the Founder Jim Robinson, who has stated he will not vote for Giuliani under any circumstance."

Agree.

NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LIFE

Don't Cut and Run, vote pro-life every time. It's the way you always win.

‘We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life — the unborn — without diminishing the value of all human life.’ —Ronald Reagan

It isn’t despair! Read my post again. You lose your opportunity to sign to put a pro-lifer on the ballot!

It won’t matter in NY State - it is a done deal - thoroughly Blue.

We are not going to be able to stop him in the primary. Anyone can be on the ballot who gets the proper number of signatures. So the pro-life vote in the primary will be divided and Rudy will win. Then he gets all the delegates.

The GOP planned it this way, and they also don't want people to know they lose their third-party opportunity by signing for a Republican candidate now or voting in the primary. All the "red meat" GOP voters--the ones who tend to vote in the primary and sign petitions--will be disqualified, decimating the forces that can get someone pro-life on the ballot in November 2008.

Of course there's always the Conservative line. Will they do the right thing, is the question, and we won't know that until after the primary, probably.

It matters because a third party getting going here will encourage the process in other states, where a conservative has a chance of winning that state.

Mass numbers of people could end it.

Have you read up on Operation Rescue? We were close, but some folks lost their nerve.

It won’t happen: not here and not there. People learned from Perot. Plus there is the problem of the state organizations backing up the established candidate - as they should. Remember what happened to Ognibene in New York?

I won’t vote for Rudy. One abortion approving party is enough.

Yes Senate must approve the nomination, but you suppositioning that the D’s will hold the senate

But, if the Senate is in Republican hands, especially if in Conservative hands, Hillary's (or Romney, Giuliani) ability to appoint liberal judges goes away completely anyway, as the Conservative Senate would not approve...

Furthermore, Even if we don't win back the Senate and are faced with losing the White House, such a scenario would force a change in leadership in the party- putting the Conservatives in ascension. This would raise a principled opposition to the Liberals that simply isn't there now.

Your assumption is without merit.

What matters in this debate is getting Conservatives in control wherever possible. That isn't going to happen by electing more RINOS.

"Have you read up on Operation Rescue?"

Yep, I supported them from the begining. And you are right, the Gov, Dems, Lib's went at them like they were Organized Crime. OR has been sucessful in shutting down a lot of clinics however!

It isnt going to happen by voting pro-life folks. It will help, of course, but even if there was no Roe and it were all decided at the State level, abortions would only be 5 or 10 % less than current levels. Still a mass murder. If abortion is murder.....maybe it is time for OR on steroids....non-violence folks

The SCOTUS asserted that abortion was an extension of martial privacy as decided in Griswold v. Connecticut. In doing so it ruled that the federal government had no authority to act on the matter.

No Hildy, you are not back just to piss us off - you desperately need the attention you get here. Like a pathetic child, you even take negative attention because you get none elsewhere.

Wow...spot on. Well said.

OK, let’s say it’s Rudy vs. Thunder-thighs.

With Rudy, you are going to get at least two, possibly three, more SC justices like Roberts, Scalia, Thomas or Alito.

The pantsuited one will appoint Ruth Bader Ginsberg clones.

So with Rudy, the SC will be safe and will do nothing to promote or expand abortion. With Hillary, you are guaranteed to get a SC that will promote publicly funded abortion-on-demand.

Come on Social Conservatives, vote with your brain, not your emotions.

I’m with you. I hope it doesn’t come down to this but if it does, I’m not going to “cut and run” on election day. I also don’t have a martyr complex where worse is better than bad.

and I’ll go further that this is less about the unborn, then the control of women. There...I said it.

There...you made an ass of yourself.

Your love affair with death is damaging your brain cells. Get help.

You’ve done a good, rational job at explaining your position. Too bad it seems to fall on numbed minds.

As abhorrent as abortion is, there is nothing in the Constitution which would prohibit it.

If your state passed a law sentencing to death anyone who had ever used the word "olde" in an Internet screen name, would you say, "Well, looks like there's no prohibition in the Constitution" and meekly report for your lethal injection?

Oh, and try checking out the Fourteenth Amendment, superscholar.

The following are my stands on Rudy:

Anyone who plans to vote for Rudy in the primary is either grossly misinformed or about as conservative as Vladimir Lenin.

If Rudy is the nominee, anyone who decides to vote third party next November and help Hillary or Obama be the next President is someone who needs their head examined. Rudy sucks on several important issues. Hillary is bad on every single issue, so bad, in fact, that I would wear out my thesaurus describing how horrible she'll be. Rudy will probably not appoint judges I like. Hillary will probably appoint judges who want to lock me up for having an independent thought.

That's my stand, and it won't change. I will oppose Giuliani with all I have, but I will vote for the GOP nominee because none of the current Dem candidates should be outside of a jail cell, much less in the Oval Office.

Permitting democrats to take elected offices will not protect any of the unborn. It can only serve to make things worse.

Agreed! But let's fight Rudy in the primaries, not just because of abortion, but because I don't see a New York liberal as the best candidate to beat a New York liberal.

Anyone who votes for Rudy is hastening the death of the Republican party. The Republican party is a pro-life and liberty party and should remain that way. Rudy is a liberal. We do not need two liberal parties.
