Zogby Poll: Half Say They Would Never Vote for Hillary Clinton for President
Zogby ^ | October 20, 2007

While she is winning wide support in nationwide samples among Democrats in the race for their party’s presidential nomination, half of likely voters nationwide said they would never vote for New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, a new Zogby Interactive poll shows.

The online survey of 9,718 likely voters nationwide showed that 50% said Clinton would never get their presidential vote. This is up from 46% who said they could never vote for Clinton in a Zogby International telephone survey conducted in early March. Older voters are most resistant to Clinton – 59% of those age 65 and older said they would never vote for the New York senator, but she is much more acceptable to younger voters: 42% of those age 18–29 said they would never vote for Clinton for President.

Wait til the Clintons lure a third-party candidate like Ross Perot into the race - - then she won’t need 51% of the votes.

Soros could buy the WH and Bubba could keep the change.

Right wing dictatorship looking better every day.

The founding fathers are long dead.

I believe there’s a fair amount of the public who normally does not vote, but dislike her strongly enough to the point where they will make the effort

I’ve said since 2000 that MEN-those who haven’t voted for years-or have never voted at all- would register in RECORD droves just to vote against them (yes, plural-it’s always been 2 for the price of one). we shall see.

Hard to win when 50% of the voters will NEVER vote for you!

This misses the real question: They won't vote for her, to be sure, but will all of these people vote for somebody else?

They can't just sit at home and be pissed off. They can't piss away their vote for a third party candidate.

Otherwise, she'll be President...and they defeat their own purpose.

You know, too, that Hillary and the Democrats' campaign will be directed against this very fact -- trying to make sure that the 50% who would never vote for her stay home and not vote for anybody else.

I have no doubt she is taking voice lessons but there is no way she can change her voice that much.

You are right about one thing. Hillary is ice cold calculating and will make VERY few mistakes next year.

A valid point but she does not have near the charm that Bubba did.

She's charming like an anal wart.

Call it what you want-there is no way in hell I will vote for Romney or Huckabee, although the latter doesn’t stand a chance as first on the ticket-but I won’t vote for a ticket that has them as VP either. I could probably force myself to go vote for McPain MAYBE Rooty9/11. If that causes her to win, then she does.

Well, there you are.

If it was up to you, Hillary would be President.

"The online survey of 9,718 likely voters nationwide showed that 50% said Clinton would never get their presidential vote"

So what.

50% of Freepers aren't inclined to vote for the Republican candidate unless he has been a pro-life activist since birth and agrees we have the right to carry cancealed machine guns.

I'm starting to think the "intractable single issue" Republicans are busy paving the path for a Clinton II Presidency and no argument will stop them.

I would be more than happy to be proven wrong.

Oh, horse$hit. You people keep using the Klintons as the Boogeyman. I’m through voting for someone just because they have an R by their name. That’s given us Ron Paul, Olympia Snowe,Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Ah-Nuld, and Hatch, to name a few. I’m tired of cRAT lite. It didn’t bother me a bit that DeWanker got beaten by a true socialist here in oHEILo-at least you know where you stand with the real thing. A LIAR like DeWanker or RHINOvich, on the other hand, will always knife you in the back. DeWine is now one of McPains campaign managers, by the way ,in case no one knew -they don’t talk about it much.

I don’t know. I think the stress of campaigning will produce a meltdown moment somewhere. Just depends if someone catches it on camera and if that someone can outrun her goons.

I’m afraid you are correct. The Dems have beem very successful in dividing us over how “pure” our candidates are.

The most RINO of GOP cadidates is a better choice (and an
imperativre for true patriots) than Hillary.

Even better... the 65 y/o and older do vote. There is smaller percentage of the younger crowd that vote.

In summary.........

Conservatives are divided. That must change.

The media is just starting their pro-Hillary campaign where women and weak-kneed men will be cajoled into voting for the “first” female president.

The big unknown is the traditional non-voter. Because this election will feature the first female candidate at the top of the ticket, we may see a huge influx of non-traditional voters this time. College campuses will push young girls to vote. The media will push women everywhere to vote out of a sense of feminism.

A man somewhere will make a stupid comment and the media will showcase this as the typical male voter.

This election will become man versus woman.....and conservatives will lose.

Disgusting? I'll tell you what's disgusting.

For over four years our SOLE communication with the GOP was "SECURE THE BORDERS!". For four years, they sent us solicitations for donations, and called us. Our response never changed.

This culminated with that amnesty debuncle. At this, we jammed legislative switchboards in D.C., flooded e-mail systems, and ran their fax machines out of paper. We pressured enough Senators to stop the bill from passing.

But what was the response? The response was the President's scorching rebuttal to us a day later. Did you see it? I was amazed. I felt like he was talking to me personally! He was obviously angry at us! I logically thought that since we had managed to exert enough pressure, that he would be the man we voted for and do what was voiced by us.

But instead, a few days later he went to our enemy, Harry Reid and asked him to resurrect the bill. THIS is what split the GOP.

The reason this is dangerous is because there is a large base of now former GOP voters who wouldn't vote for "Rudy McRomney" if it meant life or death. We're just some of those people. We're going to vote for Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, Fred Thompson, or Ron Paul. But collectively, we'll have no strength because these men are all some very good picks! They will divide our vote! Some are better than others, but they're all preferred over the current GOP front runners, and certainly the DNC picks.

But if the GOP doesn't nominate somebody like Duncan Hunter or one of those I mentioned above, this election is OVER. We'll be too divided as a conservative base to have any effect in the outcome. The result will be that Hillary Rodham Clinton will become the 44the President of the United States of America.

We won't vote for a "second best" again. We won't vote for a "Rudy McRomney" just to keep Hillary from winning the Presidency. But there are masses of cowards out there who will support the GOP come hell or high water, and they will. Of course they'll blame people like us for voting for a good man such as Duncan Hunter as Hillary is being sworn into office and we're all lamenting it. But it won't change the fact that we did what was right, and correct and they did NOT.

But we're not going to help elect her President.

You are.

That's your right. But be honest about what you propose to do.
