House Republican leaders have publicly called on Rep. Pete Stark (D-Calif.) to apologize for his comments today regarding American troops in Iraq or resign from his position.
Stark said the following today on the floor of the House (which can be viewed on video here):
I yield myself two minutes. Madam speaker, I, first of all, Im just amazed that they can't figure out -- the Republicans are worried that they can't pay for insuring an additional 10 million children. They sure don't care about finding $200 billion to fight the illegal war in Iraq. Where are you going to get that money? Are you going to tell us lies like you're telling us today? Is that how you're going to fund the war? You don't have money to fund the war on children. But you're going to spend it to blow up innocent people if he can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President's amusement.

I’ve already pointed out what should & can be done.
You can either be part of the problem or part of the solution. But sitting in front of your pc doing nothing will reap just that...nothing. Good day!

Another case of “Grab Ass”! Why try to do anything when each party can sit around being “offended”.
What has the Democrat and Republican parties done for me today to make my life better - the answer, “nothing”.
Congress is such a load that no waste treatment plant in existence could handle them or their crap!

If anything, it will be VERY instructive to see just now his own constituents respond to all of this. It will say more about THEM than about HIM, for sure.

Thanks, but all that list does is direct you to their website and again if you are not a constituent, you cannot email them from that site.
If others on this thread have emailed him, then they must have the email address.
I have already called his office, the majority leader’s, the minority leader’s, the Speaker’s and my congressman’s office.
So we’ll see what happens today.
Too bad we don’t have congressmen like Bob Dornan around any more...he’d be moving Stark’s furniture out of his office! LOL

Fortney’s DC phone is continually busy (off the hook?).
His Fremont office has the voice mail turned on and one gets this message - - “This mailbox is currently full.”
His staff must be having a wonderful day.
Democrats are lower than snakeshit.

Use the zipcode for Fremont - - posted on Fortney’s web page — and make up an address. But send a comment.

Agree. Stark needs to be taken out back of the Capitol building by a battle-hardened Jarhead lifer gunny and given some religion. The USA is in sorry, sorry shape with these types in the Congress.

Another Bay Area POS politician!
But please don’t put all Californians in with the few scumbags in the Bay area! Remember there are more registered Republicans in CA than any other state in the Union.

This POS should resign TODAY! Changed your mind? I remember you using Pete as a source on anti-WalMart threads. I wondered at the time if you knew who you were climbing into bed with.
To: kellynla
Great. Now the Democrats are going to be looking for some comment that they can pass their own resolution over and knock Stark off the front page. Rush had better mind what he says over the next week or so.

excuse me?
Unless you can document, with LINKS, me EVER “climbing in bed” with Stark,
you owe me an apology because I HAVE NEVER used Stark in ANY anti-Walmart threads.
