Funny how our average lifespans have increased dramatically during all this . . .
Satan.
Actually, now that I think about it, wasn't Moses 2,000 years old? Seems we have a much shorter lifespan now.
So, you’re trying to say you’ve gone off your meds?
“Youre an idiot. This friggin thing damned near killed me in 2006.”
“Me too.”
Actually it was the hospital that almost killed you. Almost certainly the MRSA was acquired from contact with the staff. What they are saying in the media that MSRA is on everyone’s skin is BS. Staph aureus is normal flora on the skin, but those strains are not very antibiotic resistant. These strains are a problem, not a crisis.
You really really really ought to take your meds.
I mean, just damn......
I had it before I went to the hospital. My previous visit to a hospital was 4 months earlier.
This is a stupid comment.
Can you show me anywhere in scripture where Luke relieved himself AFTER he was baptized in the Holy Spirit?
Can you show me anywhere in scripture where Luke went swimming AFTER he was baptized in the Holy Spirit?
Can you show me anywhere in scripture where Luke kissed his mother AFTER he was baptized in the Holy Spirit?
Can you show me anywhere in scripture where Luke enjoyed a nice sunset AFTER he was baptized in the Holy Spirit?
Can you show me anywhere in scripture where Luke argued with a sceptic AFTER he was baptized in the Holy Spirit?
See? I can play that game too. God gave us brains and the ability to use them. Medicine is one way in which we use them.
Now, I do have regular contact with medical professionals both professionally and personally. They could have transmitted it to me.
Good rant. Hope you feel better. Like you, I don’t have health insurance because I can’t afford it.
Ping for your input
It killed a friend of my familys years ago.
Obviously neither you nor your friend knew God.
Sad... Really sad. :-[
As for your personal attack. You call me a moron and tell me to take my head out of my ass yet it is not I that suffered from the disease MRSA. A disease caused by bacteria found in unclean, unhealthy environments. My guess is it isn't me that needs to relax his sphincter and pull his head out.
Remember folks. This is a vanity. It is just my opinion. You don't like it don't read it.
I think “The Office” will benefit from going back to 30 minutes rather than an hour (tonight is the last hour long episode).
I didn't find much...
We no longer allow kids to play in the mud.
We don't? I'm certainly not included in that "we".
We take anti-biotics for every little thing.
Again, not true in my case.
We use anti-bacterial soap and hand cleaners.
Yes, but recent studies have shown that plain soap and water accomplish the same thing. Are those supposedly bad too?
None of the above is actually good for you, and has led us to the infections that cant be beat today.
Really? Have you checked the infection, disease and death rates of Western, modern cultures with the best hygiene compared to those with lower standards?
Cleanliness is a good thing.
Too many antibiotics have led to strains of bacteria that are resistant to treatment. I no longer let my doctor give them to my kids for everything.
Antibiotics are usually mis-prescribed at the insistence of the patient or the patient's parents. You're correct that their misuse is a major problem. But that does not mean that antibiotics are a bad thing.
Antibacterial soaps are proving to be more bad than good.
That's the thinking of some. I believe the jury's still out on this one.
Years ago I had an aunt who would keep her kids out of the mud, and indoors alot. We kids who got dirty and swapped germs by sharing sodas and food were healthy. Her kids were always sick.
A single example doesn't prove a thing. That's a common misunderstanding on FR. I could use experiences from my life to reach very incorrect conclusions if I tried that:
A good friend named Leah died of Lou Gherig's Disease. My older brother's nasty ex-wife was named Leah. The name Leah should therefore be avoided at all costs.
The VW pickup I drove for a few years broke down frequently. My Dodge Durango has never left me walking. Therefore, all VWs are junk and all Dodges are reliable.
You get the point. A single experience, while very real and true, doesn't tell you much of anything about larger trends.
A persons immune system needs to be able to fight and build up. Thats the premise behind vaccinations...introduce a bug in amounts that the body can build up tolerance. By not allowing our bodies to do what they do naturally we are expanding the risks for resistant bacteria.
Even with good hygiene and antibiotics, people will come into contact with plenty of germs in their lives. The idea is to try and knock out the nastiest ones, the ones that frequently don't give the victim a chance to build immunity, so they stop killing people. That's what vaccination is about, and it's a Very Good Thing.
So hes not entirely nuts. Just a little.
Nope, he's nuts. MRSA is a very nasty bug. It kills people. Lots of people. Naively ignoring the threat and hoping that naked faith will save anyone is dangerous and foolish.
Perhaps the guy hasn't heard the story of the people in the flood, where numerous potential rescuers are repeatedly turned away, until the people eventually drown.
Most of the time, the blessings of Heaven are delivered by ordinary people. ...such as doctors and nurses.
The ineffable effdot was sui generis.
More than just knowing some people who’ve suffered with MRSA, there are some freepers and their immediate families who are battling this.
The only thing I can say about this post is that at least EWT is consistent in his crazed outlook. This isn’t the first time he’s posted such deranged drivel.
