Man, Mailer is a piece of work. He was married six times. He stabbed his second wife. He helped free a convicted murderer, who upon being released, took the opportunity to murder someone else.

I do hope the guy makes peace with the Creator.

Norman Podhoretz once pointed out that where Marx’s had seen the proletariat leading the revolution to utopia Norman Mailer saw the psychopath as the leaders of the revolution. Isn’t it odd that such smart and educated men can be soooo damn stupid.
