Fred did well. Cavuto (like all of them) talked over him too much, but Fred’s answers were solid. Mostly talked about economic stuff, but also about how Fred will assert Giuliani isn’t a conservative in his speech tonight in NY. They showed a clip of Romney talking about family and asked Fred if the nomination was going to get ugly. Fred said he didn’t think so..hoped not.

At the end Cavuto asked Fred if he would support another republican candidate if they won the nomination. Fred said he didn’t like to think in terms of losing the nomination at this point but Cavuto pushed the question. (I’d bet no Fox anchor would ask this question of Rudy ) Fred said that if somebody else won the nomination he would support them. (paging Dr. Dobson, paging Dr. James Dobson)

They discussed the indolent lymphoma. Fred says it’s a fair topic, repeats that he’s never experienced a sick day in his life from this condition. Also pointed out the 2 other republican candidate’s who have cancer histories, although it was Cavuto that named them personally, while Fred demured on that.

Brilliant, this next is for you. Cavuto then asked if Fred would accept a VP role and Fred left no doubt as to his position on that subject. He is most certainly NOT interested.

I’ve never heard a presidential candidate say they would accept a vp slot. But many have.
