The P97 is too bulky carry discreetly. The P345 is MUCH smaller and lighter. The grip is ergonomic and it is accurate and reliable. The trigger can be worked on.

I could never get into the 345. I carried one off and on for about six months a couple of years ago and then embarked on my glock fascination.

What do I carry now?

A Walther P-99 in 9mm..just like 007

Go figure.

By the way, the P-99 is what the glock should be.

"The P97 is too bulky carry discreetly."

Are you sure you're not thinking about the P90 (they are definately bigger)?

I just dug my P-Rugers out of the safe and the 97 and the 345 have almost identical profiles (HxW) and I can't discern any difference in the weight either. The P90 (also on the table with me) is big, and I would agree a bit bulky for ccw.

Damn I love guns!
