Disturbingly reminiscent of the Caldecott Tunnel explosion up in the Bay Area, I believe in the last 70’s, possibly early 80’s. Also at night, thankfully, but it incinerated everyone and everything in the tunnel at the time.

I still don’t like tunnels.
