What prompted this resolution at this time?
I haven’t been following this.
Can’t give a definite answer, as it seems Congress pondered some time on this, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Dems are abusing this resolution to further harm our currently very strained relations to Turkey (we are barely holding the Turks back from invading Kurdistan), and undermine our efforts in the Middle East.
Noble idea. Dishonest and selfish motive.
