What’s wrong is that people live there and it’s still “mountain lion country.” It could just as easily have been someone’s (two-legged) child attacked.

It could just as easily have been someone’s (two-legged) child attacked. To these animal rights wacko's it would not make any difference if the victim was a pet, a child or an adult.
It is still mountain lion country even if there was only one mountain lion in the entire state.
