Hillary beats Rudy because Rudy cannot bring the whole party to the voting booth .
Fred Thompson is the only one who can do it . We cannot win without the base , Thompson can unite the base and the so- called middle to beat Hillary .

Wrong. The Iraq war is not "extremely unpopular". That is just a flawed premise -
Has the war been terribly handled PR wise, yes! (especially from 04 thru 06). It has been somewhat better of late.
With that said, the Iraq war (WOT) is not unpopular. Is the American public bored with it (for lack of a better term). Yes......But those who suggest they are against the war in Iraq....for the most part their stance is a mile wide and an inch deep.
Meaning, a coherent, educated discussion on the topic can make a large segment of the population understand the need to stay on the offensive in this WOT. That success in Iraq is vital to being successful in the WOT. The majority of the American public want that (and it's happening).
Fact is Iraq, the Dem's won't be talking about it nearly as much come Nov 08 (because of the clear success that will continue to be happening there).

It was fine until she started advocating for Slick Willard at the end, like nominating him wouldn’t be the same kind of disaster.

Conservatives are deluding themselves if they think fiscal conservatism by itself is a winning political coalition. Do they not remember the party of Gerald Ford? It was very fiscally conservative, socially moderate, and a permanent minority party. Bravo! Stop Rudy now!!!

Do they not remember the party of Gerald Ford? It was very fiscally conservative Is he talking about the same Jerry Ford that I remember? The one who signed into law the Earned Income Tax Credit? The massive income redistribution scheme, reverse income tax, that just keeps growing and growing and growing?

Fred Thompson is the only one who can do it .
Fred Thompson is my choice, but I disagree that he is the only one who can beat Hillary.
If Duncan Hunter or Tom Tancredo ever got the chance to debate her one-on-one, they'd kick her liberal butt. They are both tough and smart. HOWEVER, it has gotten to the point in our great country of America, that if you don't have a gazillion dollars, early in the campaign, you don't have a chance to be elected President or anything else.
SHAME ON ALL OUR HOUSES!!!

I suggest that we all work for and advocate for the candidate we think is best for the Republican party, and then, when the primaries are over and we have picked a candidate, I suggest we all coalesce our support for the formal candidate, irrespective of who it is. Every single person who calls themselves in any way a conservative is better off with any of the Republican candidates than they are with any of the Democrat candidates. On every single issue, (e.g. pro-life, terrorism, national security, economy, taxes, health care, entitlements, personal liberty, education, the military, etc., etc.) each and every Republican candidate is better than each and every democrat candidate. Let’s pledge to stop the infighting once the pick is made and work hard to prevent a democrat victory. Please.

Hitlery is very vulnerable and beatable to any who has the balls to directly take her on.

I must disagree .
They are both great men , but given the way that American politics has evolved , it will take star power to beat Hillary and the MSM/Dim axis .
Rudy has it and Thompson has it , but only one can deliver the party and the middle combined . Thompson is the only one.
I picture Thompson on a stage with Hillary. The visual alone will convince the masses who is fit to lead , along with Thompson’s subtle slap downs ....

Rudy slapped her around good, and this is fine with me.
Im watching ALL the R advance the issues wile the dems pander and spin.
Rudy and Mitt are escalating things in our own camp.
Fred just walked in the door and I think he will make some decent arguments on the way to the primary’s.
Rudy and Mitt are bitching over their executive experience already. They risk wearing out that argument at this early stage.
