I had the priviledge of listening to one of Dubyas speeches during the primaries. It was actually back in probably Jan or Feb of 00. He didn’t sound presidential at all. He sounded sincere, laid-back, confident, humble and NORMAL. I disagree with a myriad of policies of his, but if anything he’s been very presidential in the WH.
It’s funny to me that you feel that way. I think one of the biggest & most significant shortfalls of the Bush presidency has been his inability to control the dialogue in regard to pretty much any issue. One of my main goals in selecting a republican nominee is to find someone who can be the “anti” bush in this regard.
