Ask you local N.D. (naturopathic doctor) what he/she recommends. There are a number of good formulas on the market these days. Choose one that survives stomach acids and implants in the small intestines. Remember, you get what you pay for. The best products tend to be a little more expensive.

Wow, I was just reading today that most cases of appendicitis occur to kids between 8 and 14. Hopefully they can rebuild it or create an artificial one. It is important to good gut health. It keeps a reserve resevoir of good bacteria to replenish the gut if something depletes the bacteria in there.Haven't missed mine a bit in the past 45 years or so.
Yoghurt after tummy illness is a simple fix for the reservoir issue.

Judith Anne, I’m so sorry to learn what has happened to little Rachael. Prayers have been sent for a quick recovery, and for comfort for her parents and for you. Kids can bounce back very fast. Especially those with praying grandmothers. :)

Prayers up. I've always been kind of relieved that I had an appendectomy when I was 11, but at least mine didn't rupture.

Wow, my son just had his appendix taken out a month ago, also 12 years old. They did get it in time though.
Lord, we lift up this little girl to you, and we know that your will for her is life, dominion, health and peace. We agree with your word, and speak it over her now in the authority of Jesus’ name. We call her healed, filled with life and power, and we pray for every person at this hospital- that they would operate with maximum efficiency and accuracy in everything that they do for her. We call into this situation every kind of help and assistance that she needs, that your will may be done. We pray for healing of any damaged tissue that may have occurred- that it may be restored fully.
We come against this attack of Satan, and establish the will of God over her life. I thank you Lord, that she’s a called servant of Yours, well able of manifest Your glory in the Earth, and able to proclaim Your truth according to the gifts and destinies planted within her. We pray for her as a warrior of your kingdom, a decree a complete restoration of all things in her life NOW, in Jesus’ Name.
May Your grace and love be a sign and a wonder to all who know her.
