Some rumors are surfacing that either both kids won full scholarships and the parents have only paid $500 per year for them, or the grandparents have paid for the tuition in full for both kids.

WHICH begs the question: why didn’t the grandparents pay for the kids’ insurance? Seems that would be more important than tuition for a hoity toity school. Let’em attend free public schools!

I live 2 miles from The Park School.

Grandparents paying tuition is very common for the Baltimore independent school student. That scenario is much more plausible than a scholarship.

I doubt seriously that Park would give a white child from a typical (liberal) Baltimore upbringing anything near a full scholarship. Maybe some money, but not all. Trust me, Graeme Frost would not add any “diversity” to Park. He and his parents are quite typical city dwellers who send their kids to private school.

My husband and I are self-employed as well, and would not think of going ONE DAY without health insurance on our family. It is expensive, but with a decent deductible, it’s not $1200/month.

Meanwhile, there are signs on every business around here (including the convenience store down the road) advertising for full time help with benefits.

Maybe if Mr. Frost chooses not to buy insurance, Mrs. Frost can manage a job that does.
