I just got back from the hospital where dearest, darling humble is recovering.
When I was talking to him about being a bad boy for giving the signal in the posted photo of him, he told me that he was just showing his red light and then he showed it to me. I told him very firmly not to show it to me, EVER AGAIN, and so he pretended to dig in his nose with his red light finger.
He's hopeless.
As hopeless and grumpy as he is, the nurses love him. They think he's cute. ;-)
He showed me his scar tonight. It is about six inches long on the right side of his back. It is not pretty. He's very proud of it.
humble's getting better. Tonight is the first that I've felt a sense of relief after seeing him. I've been very worried.
Also, tonight I took him some gifts and a card from some of humble's FReeper friends. He was thrilled! He wouldn't let me leave the gifts, though. He said that he would get in trouble. He's right. So I took them for safekeeping until he can play with them safely with no adult supervision.
I'm sorry I haven't been watching this thread as closely as I would have liked; I've been moving and so I haven't been able to be online very much at all. I still plan to update this ping list soon! My apologies to those of you who've posted after the last person on this list. I'll get you added very soon!
Thanks so much again for all of the prayers. humble's going to need them for awhile.
Once again, he asked me to post his gratitude for all of your thoughts and prayers and to thank those who've sent cards and gifts. He asked me to post that he's feeling much better and plans to be out of the hospital soon.
