NEWPORT NEWS - The decision to seek no time behind bars for a former Newport News police officer who pleaded guilty to molesting two teenagers in the 1980s and 1990s came down to getting a sure conviction rather than taking chances with a jury trial on a long-ago case, a prosecutor said.

Hypothetically, if it was one of my kids.... Nothing a 7mm wouldnt cure. Especially, if the system fails this horribly.
If it was one of my children there would be no question and the guy would get mailed to the police dept. a little at a time.
these animals don't change...look for this guy to be even more violent next time..
That is their age today, not when the were molested.
I only omitted the word “still” as I thought the average person who read the article would know that is what I meant....Guess not.
This is very sad, but all too common, and has been going on in the loving “gay” community for decades, especially in the San Fran gay area. I knew a couple of kids in junior high that were molested by a queer. One of them became a queer and died years ago of AIDS while the other became a homophobe. In fact, most so-called homophobes, were molested by queers at some point in their young lives, hence the real reason for their revulsion of the deviant lifestyle. God will get you through this.
“I get it. Perverts are now a protected class.”
No LEO’s are a protected class. If he hadn’t been police he would be in prison now.
The victims are now adults.
They were children when it happened.
