Where you being sarcastic? I know of 5, and yes they are white, well educated and had a lot of opportunities. In fact one of them completed two years of college, academic scholarship, but could not get over the fact that he really wanted to be a Marine. And that is just within the past year.

Not a lot of kids would do so today, but I had a teacher who signed up on Dec. 8, 1941.
My white, middle class, educated son joined the Army last month. About 1/4 of the recruits at his swearing in ceremony were black. A few of them were re-enlisting.
