Eeeek! You reported BG to a Mod? Hope you sent along a big basket of food. And by the way, it's doubtful that the very biggest Mod these days would be considered to be very big at all.
I've been reading up on what happened during the 60s and of course that was the very beginning of the entire Mod movement.
The person pictured below was considered to be a Top Mod "back in the day." She set the standard for all future Mods. Sadly, it looks like she was so poor that she didn't have enough money to buy a cheeseburger, let alone a serving of fish and chips.
Thus, the first Mod, the flag-bearer for all future Mods was not very big at all.
In fact, from what I understand, most folks were so poor back in the 60s that they could only afford to wear half of their clothes.
Also note the skinny legs. That's from not having enough macaroni and cheese in their diet. Mods back then, the females anyway, wore a lot of Yardley lipsticks, mostly white and light pastels which blended in with their ghastly undernourished overall appearances.
Most male Mods back then didn't have enough money for haircuts. The one pictured below was an exception and chose to wear his hair that way. No one gave him a hard time about it because he was England's Best of the best.
George Best (1946-2005) was regarded as the greatest player ever in British football. He was signed by Manchester United in 1961, helping them win two First Division titles (1965 and 1967) and the European Cup in 1968. Throughout his football career he notched up 178 goals in 466 games. The Swinging 60s Mods and Rockers
Well, what's done is done. It's been nice knowin' ya, BG!
Sadly, I remember those days. ;o)
Have you noticed that fashion has come full circle of late?
I wish I’d kept my clothes. lol
