Elizabeth [Edwards] questions Limbaugh's draft deferment

An Air America producer just sent over some transcript from an interview their Richard Greene (not our Richard Greene) conducted with Elizabeth Edwards, in which she questioned Rush Limbaugh's Vietnam exemption:

My classmates went to Vietnam, he did not. He was 4F. He had a medical disability, the same medical disability that probably should have stopped him from spending a lifetime in a radio announcer’s chair; but it is true, isn’t it? If he has an inoperable position that allows him not to serve, presumably it should not allow him to sit for long periods of time the way he does. I think this is a serious enough offense for the people who fund him, who buy ads and allow him to be on the air, need to be asked if this is what they really stand for, do they think it is alright for someone who has never served to denigrate the men and women who have simply because they are expressing an opinion. Frankly, I thought that is what we are fighting for.

In the interview, Edwards also suggested that John Kerry shouldn't have conceded when he did in 2004.

RG: Were you disappointed that Senator Kerry conceded as quickly as he did?

EE: I was very disappointed, not just because we did not count the votes, but because we promised people that if they stood in line and fought for the right to vote, that we would fight with them. And I was very disappointed that the decision was made by the campaign, over John’s objection, not to fight.

She apparently doesn’t realize there is only one woman running for the WH. HC will take care of her!! Don’t mean to offend you guys but the guys running against her were taught never to hit a girl and they haven’t a clue about what is happening to them until it’s too late - so their best weapon is another woman! In case you haven’t heard, female gang members have a reputation to be much more vicious and deadly than their male counterparts. Hide and watch.

There is a recording “somewhere” of John Edwards saying that the Vietnam War was about over when he was old enough to be drafted. He and I are the same age, 54, and I recall the lottery system was in place at the time I would have been eligible to be drafted. I assume he would have been eligible too. He, as usual, was lying, and of course no follow up question was asked about why he didn’t join up like four time deferment Kerry.
Anybody know where to get that recording?
The reporter was probably busy tracking down the “fake but accurate” memos with Dan Rather.

I am a bit confused. Is Rush Limbaugh running for President against her husband? Isn’t Rush Limbaugh just a private citizen who disagrees with commies like the Edward’s?
Does anyone here recall a politician and / or their spouse attacking a private citizen’s opinion by waging personal attacks against them? Man, Democrats are just nuts. Jeez...

Ms. Edwards is probably unhappy at home (her hubby is gone all the time and that Coulter woman seems to be on his mind a lot), so she needs an opportunity to meet "other guys".

No doubt this was her crude attempt to draw out Rush (who is currently single, but he's got a gigantic jar of viagra).

Elizabeth Edwards is really out of her league. No one has suggested that she is using her cancer to help raise funds for her husband’s campaign, but now I am beginning to wonder.

They could make only monkeys eligible to vote and it would be just as bad an idea. Our country is not great solely because of its military. Thinking so is foolish and narrow-sighted.

We have a great economy, we have a great form of government and yes, we have a great military.

Giving preferential voting treatment to veterans is like a two-legged stool. Imbalanced and unsustainable.

And don't focus solely on presidential elections. Our country is governed at the local level and redefining "citizen" in some misderived effort to extrapolate battlefield effectiveness across the entire country would surely end The Republic.

You are wrong. America will fall because we gave something as valuable as the vote to people simply because they breath. Illegals vote, simpletons vote, demoncraps vote more that once, and the worst, people who work for the government or are on government’s largess vote. People now vote for people based upon how much money will be given to them.

The vote should only be given to people who have proven that they will sacrifice their time or lives for others. Veterans or people who will give years of their lives to public service (If physically unable to serve in the Armed Forces) are the only ones who should be given the vote and allowed to hold public office.

There is not one honest congresscritter breathing. Everyone are crooks passing laws to make themselves richer as well as to enrichen their fat cat friends.
