My guess is their delusional hatred has affected their reason. That’s the difference between say us, for example, and others. I’d like to think that we here would only pick up a gun and start shooting if we were attacked (which we were), or we were in danger of invasion (then, heaven help the invaders, because every American would be packing heat, I feel certain). We scrap and kick and claw among ourselves, but let some jackass think we’re soft, and I’m pretty sure you’ll see our true colors.

If we can live as we want with all the freedoms we have and the luxuries we have (like clean water, electricity, gas for heating, a way to drive our cars and keep earning a living), then we pretty much will leave the rest of the world alone — we’re tolerant, and we’ll live and let live. Try to take away what we’ve accomplished or force us to live under a hard line mullah, no. Not so much.

We, Americans, aren’t driven by hatred (except from time to time each other). We’re a big tent and can work out our problems under the law. The rest of the Hottentots seem to have trouble with that concept.
