Expert: Dan Rather Exaggerates Military RecordExcellent, rottndog, thank you. So Rather joined the Army National Guard to avoid being drafted during the Korean War, left the Guard as soon as the war ended, then enlisted in the Marines but was discharged in less than four months because he couldn't pass the physical (he'd had rheumatic fever as a child). I work with Marines, and I'm sure they wouldn't regard such a person as a Marine.
You did give me pause when I read that the source of the information was B. G. Burkett, until I confirmed that that isn't the Bill Burkett of "memogate" infamy!

MvLame is an idiot. Didn't read what Rush said, and (almost) throws him under the bus.
Who is this jerk on now?? Steve something?? Moron.

I can't believe the nerve of this Israel guy (and his "phony" outrage)--claiming that Rush is the one giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Unreal.

Yeah, I had to do a double take on that one, but the story pans out.
I don’t know why these people not only lie, but tell such stupid and disprovable lies.
